Hot Snitzel has just outlasted Manawanui to win the Group 2 Royal Sovereign Stakes at Warwick Farm racecourse today February 18, 2012.
The Snitzel gelding won the race by a nose ahead of a fast finishing Manawanui and Moment Of Change, who ran home for third.
Hot Snitzel has now won five of his 12 starts and earned close to $600,000 in prize money.
“He is a good honest little horse,” trainer Gerald Ryan said.
“Hughie (Bowman) said he trialled sensationally the other day.
“He’s come up bigger and stronger and we’ll just keep placing him and he’ll keep running well.
“He stuck his head out and had a go.
“(I) don’t know where he’ll go next, I haven’t thought of anywhere beyond today.”
